City woman charged with breaking into residence

Danielle Grundhoff, age 26, of No Fixed Address, Nashua

NASHUA – A Superior Court judge Thursday continued a preventive detention order for Nashua resident Danielle Grundhoff, who is accused of breaking into the home of two family members then allegedly crashing her car into a vehicle one of them was driving.

Police said Grundhoff, 26, who lists no fixed address, was taken into custody early Wednesday afternoon, less than an hour after officers were called to the alleged victims’ home, which is in the Sunset Heights section of town off of South Main Street.

The call came in as a report of a domestic dispute, police said, and upon arrival, officers determined that a female, whom they identified as Grundhoff, allegedly broke into the house, “and while leaving the scene, drove her vehicle into another occupied vehicle,” according to police reports.

Notes on Grundhoff’s bail order allege that she “searched for a firearm after the incident,” but there was no mention by police of a charge involving a firearm.

It also states she allegedly “made statements of self-harm,” leading to the conclusion she would present a danger to herself, and possibly others, if she were released from custody.

Patrol officers called in members of the department’s Special Investigations Division to further the investigation, police said. The charges they filed against Grundhoff include one count each of burglary, and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon – domestic violence, both Class B felonies, and one count of conduct after an accident, a Class A misdemeanor.

She was held overnight pending Thursday’s Superior Court arraignment and bail hearing, at which the preventive detention order was continued. Bail terms prohibit Grundhoff from having any contact with the two family members, and she must stay away from their residence.

Grundhoff’s next court date is pending.
