DAILY VIDEO PRESS BRIEFING: Sununu says he will make announcement Friday on stay-at-home order
New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said he will make an announcement with a presentation on Friday regarding the Granite State’s stay-at-home order.
“What we are looking to do is flex around areas of the state where we believe, at an appropriate time, in coordination with public health officials we can open (the state) in a smart and responsible phased approach that is always putting public health first,” the governor said.
Sununu also touted the work of the Governor’s Economic Reopening Task Force and industry experts on their work in preparation for the reopening process.
“Every decision we make we want folks to know and be assured that we work with the Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health, in a very, very integrated way to make sure everything we do is using science, is using data and make sure we are taking positive steps forward,” Sununu said.
In addition, the governor said the goal remains to test 1,500 residents a day for the coronavirus disease.
