SBDC offering innovative solutions
NASHUA – The New Hampshire Small Business Development Center has created various online tools providing guidance on access to newly available resources spawned as a byproduct of COVID-19.
The new SBDC’s webpage includes informational subsections such as, “Best Practices for Businesses Affected by COVID-19,” with additional clickable links that lead users to other informational blurbs depending upon that user’s need, like providing a vernacular outline for legal terminology or how to reshape categorical small business during this time without losing substantial revenue.
Friday morning, the SBDC hosted a “live” Q&A on their Facebook account, through the Facebook stories widget, accessible by clicking the account’s profile photo, answering questions surrounding COVID-19.
During the live segment, an empty box with the header, “What is your most pressing business question today?” was available for any user to anonymously respond with a short question.
Shortly after submission of a question and depending on the required length of response, either a video or text response would appear as a chronological addition to the story from an SBDC expert.
Individuals asked various questions ranging from, “How do I apply for … (the) emergency SBA loan?” to “I own a booth rental hair salon. We are … (closed) until May 4 without any rent coming in. Do we qualify for … (an) SBL?”
According to SBDC advisor Rita Toth, the New Hampshire SBDC is providing “free and confidential counseling for all the small businesses in New Hampshire, to the size of up to 500 employees. You can always register on our website … to find your local advisors, we’re here to help.”
Although there are no current additional planned Q&A sessions, the SBDC will update their social media accounts when future sessions are scheduled.
Webinars on the Economic Injury Loan program are running twice daily at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., via Skype meeting online, or by phone 202-765-1264, 522409519# / Conference ID: 522409519.
