Telegraph offering kid’s crafts at today’s Chamber event
NASHUA – The Telegraph and its sister paper The Cabinet will be all ears at Kids Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 90 Northwest Blvd.
There, as part of a day of free festivities at Westwood Park YMCA, the newspapers will feature a craft reflective of the upcoming Easter holiday.
“We will be making bunnies from our recycled newsprint and other art supplies,” said Telegraph Publisher Heather Goodwin Henline. “We look forward to providing this community service along with the numerous other vendor booths and activities for area children.”
In addition to this family friendly craft, the newspapers also will feature a prize wheel and free reusuable tote bags at their table along with subscription specials.
“This is going to be such a great inaugural event, and we applaud the Greater Merrimack-Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce for developing this opportunity in conjunction with the YMCA for children and their families to partake in fun activities and get some wonderful educational resources,” Goodwin Henline said.
The event will showcase a variety of kid-oriented businesses and organizations.
A touch-a-truck will be offered outside the YMCA, as well as a variety of food trucks. Inside, entertainment and live music will be offered all day, as well as games, demos, bounce houses and prizes. Face painting, balloons, clowns and other attractions also are part of Kidsfest.
“Today’s event offers local families the perfect place to come and escape the cold and make memories that will last a lifetime,” Goodwin Henline added.
Partner sponsors, include the Westwood Park branch of the YMCA of Greater Nashua, The Dance Company, Southern NH Health, The Telegraph, United Way of Greater Nashua, Fully Promoted, All American Party Rentals, DJ Ron DMC, Amherst Label Parenting NH magazine and Service Credit Union.
