After clashing over the $20 trillion (or as former Vice President Joe Biden said, as much as $40 trillion) Medicare for All plan, now experienced Washington, D.C. politicians Biden and Bernie Sanders of Vermont are battling over Social Security.
Tuesday night, Biden tweeted: “I’ve been fighting to protect — and expand — Social Security for my whole career. Any suggestion otherwise is just flat-out wrong.”

About 2 hours later, Bernie Sanders tweeted: “Let’s be honest, Joe. One of us fought for decades to cut Social Security, and one of us didn’t. But don’t take it from me. Take it from you.”
