MERRIMACK – Krystyana Boykins, Rocheli Agosto, Francis Hyland, Shane Murphy and James Carignan III face various charges after their recent arrests.

Boykins, 19, of Lowell, Massachusetts, and Agosto, 21, of Billerica, Massachusetts, face charges of unauthorized taking after their Dec. 24 arrests at the Merrimack Premium Outlets mall.

Police said that at 1:11 p.m. Dec. 24, they responded to the mall for a report of theft. Upon arrival, officers observed video footage that allegedly showed two female suspects taking items from a store without paying. Police were able to locate the involved individuals by the food court. After further investigation, officers arrested Boykins and Agosto.

Both women were processed on the charges and released on personal recognizance bail. They are scheduled to appear before the Ninth Circuit, Merrimack District Court on Jan. 9 to answer to the charges.

Hyland, 62, of Nashua, faces multiple charges after his Monday arrest in Merrimack.

At 4:25 p.m. Monday, Merrimack police and fire personnel responded to the area of Daniel Webster Highway and The Commons shopping plaza for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that there was only one vehicle involved and that it had struck a guard rail. Officers identified the operator as Hyland.

During their contact with Hyland, officers allegedly noticed signs of intoxication and impairment, which they suspected to be associated with alcoholic beverages.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Hyland was arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department where he was processed and charged. Hyland was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 16 in the Ninth Circuit District Court of Merrimack.

Murphy, 33, of Merrimack, faces a charge of unauthorized taking after his Wednesday arrest. Murphy allegedly stole a PlayStation 4 video game system from an unspecified location.

Murphy was subsequently processed on the warrant and released on personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to appear before the Ninth Circuit Court, Merrimack Division, on Jan. 28 to answer to the charge.

Carignan, 24, of Merrimack, faces charges of allegedly stealing multiple smartphones from a Nashua retailer approximately three years ago.

In March 2017, officers with the Nashua Police Department began investigating reports of theft at Verizon Wireless, at 310 Daniel Webster Hwy. Officers eventually came to believe that Carignan, while working at the store in December 2016 and January 2017, created fictitious transactions in order to obtain multiple smartphones. The total loss was in excess of $1,500, so this is considered a Class A felony.

In April 2017, officers responded to a Nashua residence for the report of a domestic assault. Carignan allegedly bit a female during an altercation and fled prior to the arrival of police. Patrol officers obtained an arrest warrant stemming from this incident, charging Carignan with simple assault, Class A misdemeanor. Carignan’s bail was set at $200 cash.
