Hudson woman arrested, allegedly ran from, assaulted police

By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Writer | Dec 25, 2019

HUDSON – Police said officers sent to check on a report of a domestic disturbance at a Sanders Road home Sunday night had begun speaking with a woman when she allegedly ran from the house and into the backyard.

What prompted the woman, identified as Erika Carmody, 29, to allegedly take off isn’t clear, but when the officers caught up to her and attempted to place her under arrest, police said, she allegedly fought with, and assaulted, the officers.

Once they were able to get Carmody under control and take her into custody, the officers charged her with a total of 10 offenses, all of which are believed to be misdemeanors.

They include four counts each of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest or detention, along with one count each of domestic assault and criminal mischief.

None of the officers were injured, police said.

Carmody was transported to police headquarters, where she was booked on the charges. She was ordered held overnight pending Monday’s scheduled arraignment in Nashua district court.
