Franklin man pleads to one charge, sentence suspended
NASHUA – Erik Parker, most recently of Franklin, entered a guilty plea to one count of “common nuisances,” meaning maintaining, or frequenting, a location known to involve illegal drug activity, in Superior Court Wednesday as part of a plea agreement to settle a case from July 2018.
Parker, 48, who is currently serving State Prison time in connection with a sentence he received in a Belknap County case, entered the guilty plea to the felony charge in exchange for prosecutors agreeing to drop the other three Nashua-based charges, which include one count each of possession of drugs, transporting illegal drugs in a motor vehicle and operating after license revocation or suspension.
Parker was charged with those offenses when a State Police trooper pulled over the car he was driving on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua on July 15, 2018.
On the common nuisances charge to which he pleaded guilty, Parker received a sentence of two and a half to five years in prison, all suspended for four years, beginning when he is released after serving his current sentence.
He also agrees to serve one year of probation starting with his release, during which he must enter, and successfully complete, a substance use disorder treatment program, according to the terms.
