HUDSON – Police say officers who responded late Saturday night to a call reporting a possibly suicidal person ended up arresting a local man on domestic violence-related charges.

Timothy Leduc, 30, had allegedly threatened a person with a firearm inside 164 Derry St., prompting the alleged victim to contact police shortly before 11 a.m., police said.

Leduc allegedly engaged officers in a “brief standoff,” police said, but didn’t specify how long it lasted – although they did say Derry Street was closed for about 30 minutes.

The standoff ended, police said, when Leduc exited the residence, at which time the officers took him into custody without incident.

Police charged him with one count each of criminal threatening and reckless conduct, both of which are felonies, along with four counts of domestic-related assault, which are Class A misdemeanors.

Leduc was booked on then transported to Valley Street jail to await arraignment, and possibly a bail hearing, scheduled to take place this afternoon at Hillsborough County Superior Court South in Nashua.

Police said nobody was injured in the incident.
