Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation receives 25th anniversary gift

By Staff | Sep 23, 2019

Seabrook – The Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation, a Nashua-based nonprofit focused on keeping children safe, was presented with a donation of $20,000 from Eureka Casino Resort, owner of the New Seabrook Park, to modernize LICSF’s national offices, located in the Gate City.

The money received was used to purchase updated computers to continue supporting the efforts rooted around children’s proactive safety and care.

LICSF will be celebrating 25 years of saving children from abduction, predators and other preventable serious injuries with the motto: “A safe and happy vhildhood lasts a lifetime!”

LICSF will be expanding its program nationally and internationally through a newly animated television pilot called “Lil’ Iguana & Friends” and an innovative live touring show called, “Lil’ Iguana Live!” beginning in 2020.

The nonprofit’s success reinforces crucial safety messages through themed songs, performances and presentations. Children are positively encouraged through a self-worth model shown through accepting others, along with teaching daily safety lessons.

Eureka Casino Resort, owners of New Seabrook Park and the Greyhound Casino & Tavern, located in Seabrook, has a long history of investing efforts to improve the quality of children’s lives.

“Partnering with local charities is at the core of our employee-owned family business,” said Andre Carrier, CEO of The New Seabrook Park. “Lil Iguana’s initiatives exemplify the impactful community programs we are excited be a part of for years to come.”

“The New Seabrook Park knows the importance of keeping our children safe from harm,” said James Tomaszewski Sr., executive director of LICSF. “I am over the moon with excitement by this investment to help ease the workload and finish our projects faster in day to day operations.”

Through the donation to LICSF, the New Seabrook Park is promoting respect into every child and helping children learn self-worth at a young age.

LICSF and the New Seabrook Park’s newfound partnership will collaborate on projects keeping children safe from harm and instilling the idea to treat others as they would like to be treated. It is through this kind of community investment that allows the LICSF to continue its mission to create strong well-rounded children.
