NASHUA – With the opening of their new business, The Medical Skin Clinic, Missy Gaffney and husband Sean have built what they fondly described as a small little health and wellness campus on East Dunstable Road.

While the establishment has been open for a little more than a month, Tuesday saw Mayor Jim Donchess on-site during the clinic’s Coolsculpting event.

With the new business being opened at 387 E. Dunstable Road joining their already established businesses, The Skin & Body Spa, at 385 E. Dunstable Road, and The Hair Company right next door at 383 E. Dunstable Road, Gaffney said she and her husband are excited to be able to provide their services within their cozy boutique theme.

“It’s almost like we’re building a small little health and wellness campus,” Gaffney, who has been a licensed esthetician for the last 23 years said. “All of the businesses are in walking distance of each other. They’re all about 500 yards apart from one and other.”

“We refer them as cozy boutique-style spas,” she added.

Building upon their other businesses, with The Skin & Body Spa being the initial boutique-style day spa, and The Hair Company, a hair salon, the new business will focus on advanced non-surgical skin solutions aimed at helping people looking to get closer to their ideal body through permanent body contouring and fat reduction.

Along with the Coolscuplting services – which is a process of freezing the fat in “problem areas” – the company also provides skin tightening, microneedling, laser resurfacing, photo facials, chemical peels, laser hair removal, as well as neurotoxins and fillers, such as Botox.

Missy Gaffney said The Medical Skin Clinic provides services that are not widely available in Greater Nashua.

“A lot of clients are coming in and saying, ‘We’re so glad you came here,'” she continued. “And telling us that in the past, they have been driving for miles to find places that offer these services.”

With the addition, the Gaffneys’ businesses now employ approximately 60 individuals, including two nurse practitioners and two registered nurses at The Medical Skin Clinic.

“We refer to ourselves as the dream team,” Gaffney said of the employees at all the locations. “Safety and the client’s outcome are our number one priorities, and customer satisfaction.”
