City man charged with sexual assault
NASHUA – Blake Romano, 19, of Nashua, faces an allegation of aggravated felonious sexual assault (AFSA) after his Wednesday arrest.
At 4:54 p.m. Tuesday, officers from the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operations Bureau received a report of a sexual assault. Romano was identified as the suspect in the investigation. The investigation was furthered by detectives assigned to the Special Investigations Division. The victim alleged Romano sexually assaulted him during an encounter in Nashua on Monday.
An arrest warrant was issued for Romano and he was subsequently taken into custody. In addition to the special felony charge, Romano faces three Class A misdemeanor counts of sexual assault.
The felony is punishable by a term of incarceration in State Prison, exclusive of fines. Each Class A misdemeanor is punishable up to one year in the County House of Corrections, exclusive of fines. Romano was released on $10,000 personal recognizance Bail. His arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 19 at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
