Police remind public of back to school

By Staff | Aug 22, 2019

NASHUA — Members of the Nashua Police Department would like to take this time to remind the public that students return to public schools in Nashua beginning Monday.

With the start of the school year comes an increase in motor vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic. Police urge everyone to slow down and minimize distractions while driving. Extra care should be taken near bus stops and parents should be mindful of fire lanes during school drop-off and pick-up.

Police encourage parents of children who walk to school to speak with them about using sidewalks, crosswalks, and watching for traffic. The men and women of the department wish everyone a safe new school year.
