Lions Club honors DPW employee of 17 years
The Nashua Lions Club added a new recognition to their list of programs on Monday when they presented the first Nashua Division of Public Works Employee of the Year award to 17-year employee Matt Leblanc. Joining club President Mike Francoeur was Mayor Jim Donchess. Donchess thanked the Lions for including DPW. “These employees are often overlooked and the only time you hear about them is when streets aren’t plowed, trash isn’t picked up or people have a pothole.”
Leblanc has served the city for 22 years, 17 with DPW and five with the school department. In addition to his work in the Solid Waste Department at the city landfill, Leblanc also serves as route coordinator for snow plowing in the winter.
