Event set for next weekend on Main Street
NASHUA – From breakdancing to swing, all are welcome to learn some new dance moves with Mayor Jim Donchess next weekend in the middle of Main Street.
From 7-11 p.m. on July 20, people are welcome to participate in the third annual Dancin’ in the Street event in front of Nashua City Hall. This is a free dance party hosted by Donchess and Great American Downtown featuring local dance professionals who will lead attendees through various styles of dance.
Every hour, there will be a different style taught, including swing, Latin, breakdance and hip-hop.
“It’s just a good time to bring people downtown and offer good outlets for people who want to dance,” Donchess said.
He said in prior years, the event has drawn a good crowd, as people have really enjoyed it. Those of all ages and abilities are welcome to enjoy the night dancing in the street.
Theo Martinez will lead off from 7-9 p.m. Positive Street Art will take control from 9-11p.m. with hip-hop and breakdancing.
Food trucks will also be present for those who work up an appetite.
