Nashua woman arrested in alleged knife attack
NASHUA – Kinsley Street resident Jaqueline Cortes-Montero faces felony assault charges related to her alleged knife attack on another woman.
At about 1:30 a.m. March 31, officers reported to the area of 48 W. Hollis St. for a report of a knife assault. Detectives then furthered the investigation, eventually coming to the belief that Cortes-Montero had displayed a knife during a physical altercation with another female.
The alleged victim received relatively minor injuries during this altercation and was treated at a local hospital.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Cortes-Montero, 46, of 49 Kinsley St. Officers arrested her Thursday on felony charges of second-degree assault.
This felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Cortes-Montero was released on $300 cash or surety bail. She is scheduled for May 2 arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
