Artists chosen: Gallery at the Wall finalists announced

NASHUA — Months of hard work by students throughout the city is being recognized, as the Gallery at the Wall winners have been chosen.
Students of all grades at all schools in the Nashua School District, the Adult Learning Center and Clearway Alternative High School completed art projects that fell under the theme of “Together We Rise! Weaving the social and cultural fabric of Nashua through the celebration of diversity and inclusion.”
For some students, this theme was incorporated in a symbolic watercolor painting of themselves. For others, it was meaningful words painted across a canvas. Students work incorporated the use of colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolor, photography and other outlets.
Students had until Feb. 1 to complete projects that align with the theme, which were then judged on Feb. 4.
Selections were first made for the Panels, which will be displayed at Rotary Common Park. A professional photographer will be taking pictures of the final artwork to develop them into an acrylic painting on panels, which will then be placed on the wall.
