By Staff | Feb 12, 2019

NASHUA – At 7:20 p.m. Friday, officers arrested William Mejia-Delisle, 25, of Manchester, on the felony charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Patrol officers responded to J.C. Penney at 310 Daniel Webster Highway for the report of a shoplifter being detained. The suspect, Mejia-Delisle, was stopped by loss prevention employees after allegedly concealing several articles of merchandise and exiting the store without paying for the items.

Due to Mejia-Delisle having at least two previous theft-related convictions, this misdemeanor level offense was enhanced to a felony. This felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Mejia-Delisle was released on personal recognizance bail pending his Feb. 21 arraignment in the Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
