Festive Houses presented by Symphony NH

NASHUA – The 2018 Symphony NH Holiday House Tour will feature five houses from Greater Nashua, including two within the city, two in Hollis and one in Merrimack.

The tour will open on Saturday and Sunday and the houses will be open to the public from noon to 4 p.m. both days. Anyone attending the tour is encouraged to stop by Fulchino Vineyard, where they will offer free wine tasting, raffle opportunities, holiday music and more.

14 Swart Terrace, Nashua

This is a Cape Cod house furnished with antique furniture, which is fitting for the age and history of the home. This house will be filled with antiques ranging from American pre-Revolutionary and Federal periods as well as Canadian, Scandinavian and English country pieces. During the house tour, the house will be decorated with fresh greenery and themes, including classic Christmas, botanical winter berry, Scandinavian country Christmas furnishings and a winter ski lodge corner.

11 Boylston Ave., Nashua

Here, a three-story Colonial home will be decorated with the theme “Things that we enjoy making for the holidays.” The house will feature charming homemade decorations, ranging from mason jars with twinkle lights, a small tree decorated with kitchen tools and napkin rings, a tomato cage Christmas tree, among other crafts. With a decorated kitchen, an ivory-themed sitting room, a simple yet beautiful powder room, as well as the two bedrooms on display, visitors are also invited to enjoy the music provided by the homeowner’s son.

22 Sandpiper Lane,

Merrimack

A Heron Cove home featuring holiday collections on display by interior designer Mary Turner of Renaissance Interiors. This house will have a large tree located in the high ceiling living room, as well as wintery vignettes throughout corners and cabinets. On display will be a genuine German nutcracker collection and a personalized Annalee Doll collection. The colors adorning the house will be will be white and gold. Visitors to this home will be able to enjoy peaceful holiday music provided by guitarist Pat Heffernan.

64 Laurel Hill Road, Hollis

This 1970s-style home tucked away in the woods will feature a modern take on holiday décor, which visitors will be able to enjoy as they walk through an updated kitchen, a living room with a large Christmas tree reaching to the high ceilings. With a more contemporary feel, the house will be decorated in a pink and purple theme.

47 Federal Hill Road, Hollis

Another 1970s-style home, built as as an energy-saving structure, this house will be uniquely decorated in a West Coast theme befitting the home owners. This house will feature animal heads decorated festively for the season intertwined with extraordinary antiques. The house features large mirrors and and a table decorated with silver-themed holiday items. Depending on the weather, this home will have the patio decorated and open to the public for visitors to sit by the fireplace.
