Lions Club Donates Knitted Hats

By Staff | Nov 18, 2018

Nashua Lions Club King Lion Mike Francoeur and member Evelyn Flynn present comfort knitted hats for newborns to nurses in the maternity ward at St. Joseph Hospital, which is used as part of a reminder program along with a DVD on helping to comfort newborns and their parents when they go home. Flynn knitted 43 of the comfort hats and presented them along with Francoeur at a ceremony at the hospital. St. Joseph maternity ward is the only local hospital to make use of this program. The knitted hats have a calming effect on the newborns when crying and sleeping. This is the second time the Lions have donated the knitted hats to the hospital this year.
