NASHUA — High winds exacerbated a Sunday afternoon fire at 68 Blossom St., leading to a second alarm for response to the two-and-a-half-story structure.
In all, a total of 36 firefighters and six engines responded to the scene. Nashua Deputy Chief Kevin Kerrigan said it appeared as though the fire began on the outside of the structure. The high winds caused it to spread quickly inside to the second floor and attic.
The building was searched with no occupants found inside. Firefighters performed salvage operations to protect any property not affected by the fire. The building suffered heat, smoke, and water damage and is uninhabitable.
All occupants have been relocated with assistance from the American Red Cross.
