MERRIMACK – Authorities are not sure if Eric Mann was getting an early start on Halloween when they arrested him as he wore a devil costume during a Tuesday attempted Merrimack break-in.
At 5:29 a.m. Tuesday, Merrimack officers responded to a home on Grouse Lane for a report of someone banging on windows and doors.
Upon arrival, officers saw an individual standing next to an access gate at the complainant’s residence. Initially, the officer thought the person to be a female with long black hair, costume devil horns, makeup and fishnet stockings.
Upon seeing the responding officer, the subject immediately fled on foot. The officer pursued on foot, ultimately catching up with the subject as he stepped inside the front door of a residence on Ministerial Drive. The officer then arrested the suspect.
At this point, the officer quickly determined the suspect was male.
Mann, 31, of 24 Ministerial Drive, Merrimack, is charged with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest. He was released on a personal recognizance bond, and is scheduled for an Oct. 29 court appearance.
