Farmers Market debuts today in new location

By Adam Urquhart - Staff Writer | Jun 17, 2018

NASHUA – Today, the Nashua Farmer’s Market returns for another season, planting its roots in a new location.

The new location is set in the middle of Main Street in downtown Nashua, and will host more than 40 vendors offering things ranging from fresh local produce to honey, baked goods and more. In addition, there will be artists and live music. As a result of the new location, many downtown shops and restaurants will begin opening their doors on Sundays.

The new location came as a result of Great American Downtown looking to achieve a few objectives. Those being to improve accessibility of the market so it’s more handicap accessible, enhance economic impact of the farmers market on the small business community, creating a pedestrian-friendly central street fair atmosphere and enhancing Nashua’s reputation as a gathering place on Sundays. The market will be on Main Street between Temple and E. Pearl streets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. More information can be found online at https://www.facebook.com/events/396450007523611/.
