MERRIMACK – A Manchester man fell asleep in his car while it was blocking the Exit 12 north-bound ramp, according to Merrimack police.

Real Guilbeault, 57, of 254 Putnam St., Manchester, is now charged with two counts of operating under the influence of alcohol. A Merrimack officer found Guilbeault’s car stopped on the off-ramp, with the lights off, blocking the left turn lane onto Bedford Road in the early morning hours on Sunday.

Police say Guilbeault was sleeping in the driver’s seat, and that he showed signs of being intoxicated when he was woken. After a brief investigation, Guilbeault was soon placed under arrest, according to police.

Guilbeault is free on personal recognizance bail, and due in court on Dec. 28.
