BOE Candidate Forum to be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Nashua High School South
The Nashua Teachers’ Union Committee on Political Education will hold a candidate forum Wednesday at Nashua High School South. The forum will take place in the school’s auditorium, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
“We thought it would be important to let our members and anyone from the general public hear what the candidates have to say about the strength of the Nashua School District, areas of improvement and how they would get it there, to make it a better place for all our students in Nashua,” said NTU member Deb Howes.
The forum will be moderated by NTU steward Gary Hoffman, who said the candidates will be asked about city issues as well as education topics.
“We invited all the Board of Education members that are up for election,” Hoffman said. “Just general questions about education and the city and it’s open to the public.”
Howes said there will be an emphasis on improving district schools.
“We have some questions about issues that are current in education right now,” she said. “The big heading is school improvement and how to get there.”
