HOLLIS – Merrimack police arrested a Hollis man over the weekend for allegedly stalking and assaulting his significant other.

Robert Kempton, 55, of 38 Main St., was charged with domestic related simple assault, stalking and criminal trespass Saturday evening.

An alleged female victim told police that Kempton assaulted her at her home. Kempton was told not to enter her place of employment. The suspect reportedly went to the woman’s work several times, making her fear for her personal safety, police said. Before officers arrived at the scene, Kempton allegedly fled.

Police issued a 12-hour domestic be on the lookout for Kempton. He was located at his Main Street residence and taken into custody by Hollis police.

Kempton was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and was arraigned Monday in Merrimack district court.
