Wasserman Park open through Aug. 19

By Staff | Jul 13, 2011

Lifeguards are on duty at Wasserman Park beach Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Aug. 19. Water testing has also begun for the season and will be done weekly through Sept. 3.

The town asks that visitors observe the parking areas designated for residents and nonresidents.

Vehicles in the resident parking area need to display proof of residency, with either a town landfill sticker or town placard. These items can be obtained at Town Hall at the tax collectors window. The placard can also be obtained by showing a valid ID in the Parks and Recreation office in Wasserman Park.

The Wasserman Park Town Beach shall be for the exclusive use of Merrimack residents per town ordinance 142-15. Nonresident visitors are permitted to use the area only when accompanied by a Merrimack resident. Passes shall consist of either a valid Merrimack Facility Pass or rearview mirror placard.

For more information on the facilities, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 882-1046 or e-mail parksdept@merrimacknh.gov.
