State law library curtails its hours
The cuts keep coming for the state judicial system.
The New Hampshire Law Library at the Supreme Court building in Concord will be closed to the public three mornings a week beginning next month.
Courts spokesperson Laura Kiernan said the closure will allow staff to catch up on cataloging and processing materials and maintaining the library’s website.
The Supreme Court also decided to leave two positions at the library vacant because of budget cuts in the judicial branch’s 2012-13 budget, she said.
Beginning May 2, the library, at 1 Charles Doe Drive in Concord, will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursdays, Kiernan said.
The library is the only public law library in the state, she said.
