Woman faces 30 years over child porn

By Staff | Sep 3, 2010

NASHUA – Half of a duo accused of luring a teenage girl to a local motel to make pornography is facing 30 years in prison after being indicted last month.

Maia Daniels, 25, of 7 Pratt St. in Nashua, was indicted on one count of manufacture of child sexual abuse images, a special felony that could send her to prison for 30 years, according to court documents.

Daniels is accused of engaging in a sexual act with a 17-year-old girl while George Malden, 70, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., videotaped her actions, according to the indictments.

Police also seized pornographic materials involving other females who could be juveniles, according to Nashua Police Lt. Jeff Bukunt.

Daniels and Malden made pornography in other motels in the city, Bukunt said. Other juveniles may be involved, he said. Bukunt declined to say how long Malden and Daniels allegedly were making videotapes in the city. Malden was arrested May 14 by Nashua Police and charged with the felony crime of manufacturing child sexual abuse images.

Police obtained videos and photos of Daniels in sexual acts with other females who appear to be older than 18, Bukunt said, but police are trying to determine whether any of them are younger than 18. This will be accomplished mostly by working with the Center for Exploited and Missing Children, Bukunt said.

Malden and Daniels approached the 17-year-old girl at a tanning salon and lured her to a motel in the city, Bukunt said.

The girl later told a parent about the videotaping, he said. The girl lives in New Hampshire, but Bukunt declined to say where.
