WASHINGTON – Sen. Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Reps. Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Chris Pappas (NH-01) applauded the Biden Administration’s approval of a disaster declaration for Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire, Coos, and Sullivan Counties after the severe storms and flooding in July. The delegation wrote a letter to President Biden calling for this declaration to unlock federal disaster relief resources.

“New Hampshire communities experienced severe storms that caused devastating flooding this summer – and especially for smaller towns, the costs of a disaster like this can be overwhelming,” said the New Hampshire Congressional Delegation. “We’re grateful that the Biden Administration has heeded our call and issued a federal disaster declaration, unlocking the federal resources needed to help these communities recover and rebuild.”
