CONCORD – U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02), Chair of the New Democrat Coalition, released the following statement on former President Donald Trump’s indictment for efforts to overturn the 2020 election and block the transfer of power.

“As a victim and a witness to the violent January 6th insurrection on our United States Capitol and the coordinated attack on our sacred democracy, I recognize how essential justice and accountability for those crimes are for the well-being of our country.

We have an independent judicial system for a reason — to ensure no one is treated with a separate system of justice. No one is above the law.

I trust our courts to independently and thoroughly adjudicate these indictments and deliver justice for our country.”
