Pappas helps create select committee to Advance American Competitiveness
U.S. Rep Chris Pappas
WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas issued the following statement after voting to create a Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Communist Party of China:
“It’s critical we continue to advance bipartisan legislation that will ensure the United States remains globally competitive. I was proud to help pass the CHIPS and Science Act and my Homeland Procurement Reform Act into law last year to boost American manufacturing, make long-term investments in our competitiveness, and prioritize the procurement of American-made goods from small businesses. I hope the creation of this committee will help us strengthen American innovation, manufacturing, and research and development to boost our economy and create good-paying jobs in New Hampshire.”
