By Staff | Oct 21, 2022

CONCORD – The New Hampshire Lottery is partnering with Recycled Percussion and the band’s Emmy-nominated TV series Chaos and Kindness to offer a New Hampshire public school the chance to win a surprise visit and demonstration from the nationally recognized instrumental rock band. The New Hampshire Lottery is taking nominations now on its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/NewHampshireLottery, for the chance at a surprise visit from the “original junk rock band.” Originating in New Hampshire, Recycled Percussion has been a headline act in Las Vegas for more than a decade and has performed more than 5,000 shows worldwide. As part of the initiative, the New Hampshire Lottery will donate $5,000 to the winning school, which will be chosen randomly.

“The New Hampshire Lottery loves surprising our big winners and this time our big winner is going to be a lucky New Hampshire school! Our partnership with Recycled Percussion provides a unique opportunity for us to both highlight our ongoing focus on driving maximum revenue for schools and to provide students and teachers with an incredible, live experience,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “We are grateful to the Recycled Percussion team for their willingness to team up with us on this initiative and we know this will give one of our schools an inspiring surprise.”

The New Hampshire Lottery is taking nominations on Facebook now until noon on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. The public can nominate their New Hampshire public school of choice by commenting on the Facebook post announcing the initiative: https://bit.ly/3F1D2Uj. The New Hampshire Lottery will randomly select a winning school, which will only be revealed on the day of the surprise visit and demonstration by Recycled Percussion.

Based in Laconia, New Hampshire and using instruments built from recycled materials, Recycled Percussion performs across the globe, including placing third on season four of America’s Got Talent in 2009. Committed to supporting communities globally, Recycled Percussion’s Emmy-nominated TV series Chaos and Kindness follows lead percussionists, Justin Spencer and Ryan Vezina, as they work to make the world a better place through acts of kindness. As a team, Chaos and Kindness have donated bikes, toys and school supplies to children in need, supported local community events with gifts and prizes, and generated funds for nonprofit organizations.
