MANCHESTER – U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement ahead of the 21st anniversary of the attacks on Sept. 11th, 2001:

“This year marks the 21st anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11. That early September morning, acts of violence marred our skies with smoke and fire, and thousands of innocent lives were lost. Every year, we continue to honor the lives and legacies of those taken that day in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. We remember and reflect on the courage of the firefighters, police officers, and first responders who were first on the scene and put their lives on the line, regardless of the cost. We reaffirm our commitment to remember all those lost in the Twin Towers, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville. As their memory lives on, they will never be forgotten.”

“Our law enforcement and first responders who were on the scene, and the men and women who volunteered to serve in the aftermath of 9/11 represent the best our country has to offer. Our responsibility is to live lives worthy of their service and sacrifice and to ensure that first responders, service members. and veterans can receive the care, support, and respect they deserve.”
