Emmy winner, Judge Greg Mathis, to speak at Manchester NAACP annual fundraiser

By Staff | Sep 23, 2020

The Manchester Branch of the NAACP will be hosting our 10th Annual Freedom Fund Event virtually. The theme of this year’s online event is “Unity Over Division: Reparations Now.” The event will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for $30 at https://naacpmanchesternh.com/.

This year’s focus is Unity Over Division: Reparations Now. As the need for genuine racial justice has become even clearer, the discussion about reparations has become even more essential. Join us to learn about this critical issue, and how the Manchester NAACP Branch will be moving it forward in 2021.

“We have been contacted by people of all colors, wanting to know how they can help,” said James McKim, Manchester NAACP President. “Start here,” he said. “This is a critical time in history. Purchase a ticket, and from the comfort of your own home, hear about where we’ve been, where we’re headed, and opportunities for you to become more involved.”

The Freedom Fund event is also our way of lifting up those who exemplify the values and philosophy of the NAACP. This year’s Heroes for Social Justice include: Sudi Lett, Nathalie Ahyi-Amendah, and Reverend Eric Jackson.

Judge Greg Mathis, “Judge Mathis,” will serve as the Keynote Speaker. Judge Mathis is the longest running African-American male host on television. He is a national figure known for his advocacy campaigns for urban youth and equal justice. His inspirational life story of a street youth who rose from jail to Judge has provided hope to millions who watch him on the award-winning television court show Judge Mathis each day.
