Police believe 2 on motorcycle ride hit a deer and crashed
BOSCAWEN, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire believe a man and his grandfather on a Labor Day motorcycle ride died in a fatal crash after striking a deer.
Police said Thursday they believed they found the bodies of Jerry Proper 69, and Cody Pillsbury, 22, who went on a ride from Newport. The two didn’t have a set destination, but family members became worried when they didn’t return home.
Authorities searched by air and ground and received cellular tower data analysis that focused their search in an area of Route 4 in Salisbury and Boscawen.
Police said the initial investigation indicates that the two were riding southbound on the road in Boscawen, about 40 miles away, when they struck a deer. Their motorcycle left the road and came to rest in a dense swamp.
