UMass Lowell to host open house for prospective grad students

By Staff | Sep 21, 2021

LOWELL, Mass. – Prospective students will have a chance to learn about new graduate degrees and ways to pursue their education in a variety of formats at UMass Lowell during an upcoming virtual open house.

Students and working professionals interested in pursuing graduate, continuing-education and online offerings can get information about the university’s more than 90 master’s, 59 doctoral and 59 graduate certificate programs at a free, online event on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon.

New this semester, students can complete either a master’s of public health, healthcare management option, or the master’s in education administration, higher education option, entirely online. To register for the event, visit www.uml.edu/gradoh/.

“The university continues to grow our graduate portfolio and the students have responded. This past year, we have seen record enrollments in our graduate programs, up 9 percent in online and on-campus programs,” said UMass Lowell’s Steven Tello, vice provost for graduate and professional studies. “Our students understand the value of a UMass Lowell graduate degree. Our programs are flexible, affordable and high quality.”

UMass Lowell programs are nationally accredited. Many graduate certificate and degree programs are available on campus, online or in a blended format, allowing students to select on-campus or online courses. Individuals interested in taking graduate courses without pursuing a full degree program may also register as non-degree students. Scholarships are available.

Faculty program coordinators will be available during the session to answer questions for those interested pursing a UMass Lowell education.

Prospective students interested in learning about the university’s online and on-campus graduate degree programs, as well as certificate and non-credit professional education seminars, are encouraged to visit https://gps.uml.edu/, where program coordinators and continuing education student support specialists are available to provide assistance.
