Plymouth State University starts honors program
PLYMOUTH (AP) – Plymouth State University is starting a new honors program that promotes student collaboration across programs.
The top 8 percent by grade point GPA of incoming first-year students in the class of 2023 will be invited to participate in the program. Students who are accepted will be required to maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible.
Students will develop a project, such as a scholarly paper, film, artwork, or website, through independent study under the supervision of a faculty member. Students may also choose to take a leadership role on a cluster project or open lab.
In either case, students will be encouraged to collaborate across disciplines on shared topics. The final projects will be their own and will be evaluated by their faculty supervisors
