SALVE REGINA UNIVERSITY

Alex Flynn, of Nashua, participated in Congressman Jim Langevin’s Rhode Island District Office internship program over the fall semester. Flynn is a senior at Salve Regina University, where he is majoring in business administration. He is also a senator in the Student Government Association, plays on the men’s lacrosse team and is president of the Salve Investment Fund. In the district office, interns experience a variety of tasks, including answering phone calls, drafting constituent correspondence and supporting staff members on various projects.

ASSUMPTION COLLEGE

Benjamin Irwin, of Nashua, a member of the Class of 2019 at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., was elected to the school’s 2015-16 Student Government Association.

COLBY-SAWYWER COLLEGE

Lauryn Kmon, of Litchfield, was inducted into the Colby-Sawyer College chapter of Alpha Chi on Oct. 18. Kmon is majoring in health care management and is a member of the Class of 2017 at the college, located in New London.

KEENE STATE COLLEGE

FROM MILFORD: Riley Mason and Sarah Watton, both of Milford, were awarded a Presidents Scholarship this year at Keene State College.

PHI KAPPA PHI

BATON ROUGE, La. – These local students recently were initiated into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Justin Godin, of Merrimack, was initiated at MCPHS University; Chelsea Guill, of Hudson, was initiated at MCPHS University; Kimberly Meyer, of Milford, was initiated at Plymouth State University; Brandie Pettus, of Amherst, was initiated at Plymouth State University.

WESTERN NEW ENGLAND UNIVERSITY

Sarah Brauza, of Hudson, majoring in accounting at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., was selected for inclusion in the 2015-16 edition of "Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." Brauza is one of 36 students from Western New England University who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.
