NCA inducts students into National Honor Society

By Staff | Dec 13, 2015

On Nov. 25, the Logos chapter of the National Honor Society had its induction ceremony for NCA juniors and seniors.

Five new members were inducted, opening the door for new opportunities in the 2015-16 school year. Current members Sonya DiPietro (president) and Emily Desaulniers (vice president) headed the ceremony. Advisers Mr. Chris Burger and Mrs. Lauralynne Morey aided in the preparation and organization of the event.

"Nashua Christian Academy is honored to have this year’s inductees, looking forward to their leadership potential as they grow and mature," Burger said.

Everyone was excited to be a part of bringing the five new members into the Society. Juniors Kyra Boucher, Taylor Elliot-Daley, Gregory Gdanian and Hannah Keldsen and senior Rebecca Croley were honored to become participants.

Their proficiency in leadership, scholarship, service and character earned them the opportunity to be new members of the National Honor Society. These students were recognized for their leadership in and out of the classroom. Also, their GPA of 3.4 or above and their heart for servant leadership was consistent throughout their high school years.

Lastly, their character followed the model of this school’s National Honor Society’s vision of encouraging students to embody the ideal of "Passion for God, compassion for people."

The inductees were especially excited to bring what they had to offer. Boucher expressed that she was eager to "be able to lead and think of new ideas." It is crucial to have a flow of new ideas coming into the society, since a major part of it is to run outreach projects during the school year.

Overall, the 2015-16 Logos chapter of the National Honor Society looks forward to a successful year as a group of seven committed students to better their school and community around them.

Emily Desauliers and Sonya DiPietro are seniors at Nashua Christian Academy.
