White Wing hosts Audubon program
NASHUA – The White Wing School hosted an enrichment program on Nov. 5 called "Wings of the Night," presented by Kevin Wall from the New Hampshire Audubon Society.
The program connects and complements what the children are learning in the classrooms in a hands-on way.
Since the children have been learning about bats and owls, Wall brought a live Eastern screech owl, taxidermy models of owls and bats, and owl pellets. This helped teach the children about their habitats, eating and hunting practices, and how we can help protect them.
The program is an annual enrichment event at the school that nurtures the children’s sense of curiosity, learning and their role in the preservation of these species.
