Elks holding ‘Most Valuable Student’ scholarship cont
Applications are available for high school seniors to apply for a scholarship in the Elks National Foundation’s annual "Most Valuable Student" contest.
There are 500 four-year awards ranging from $1,000-$12,500 per year that will be awarded in a nationwide competition to the highest-rated boys and girls in the 2016-17 competition, totaling $2.44 million.
Applications may be made by seniors of a high school or its equivalent who are citizens of the United States and residents within the jurisdiction of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Financial need, leadership and scholarship are the criteria by which applicants are judged.
Applications are available only at elks.org/ enf/scholars. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 4, at the Nashua Lodge of Elks Lodge, 120 Daniel Webster Highway South, Nashua, NH, 03060 or at the home of the Greater Nashua Area scholarship chairman, Past District Deputy Albert W. Savage, 86 Robinson Road, Nashua, 03060.
