College achievements by Greater Nashua students

Here are college achievements by students from Greater Nashua:

AUBURN UNIVERSITY

Jaimen Perez, of Wilton, a student at Auburn (Ala.) University, was recently inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

BECKER COLLEGE

These local students graduated this spring from Becker College in Worcester, Mass.

FROM HUDSON: Bobby Savoie, Bachelor of Science in criminal justice.

FROM NASHUA: Jose Galvez-Lovo, Bachelor of Science in criminal justice; Matthew Watterson, Bachelor of Arts in interactive media design.

FROM NEW IPSWICH: Shawna Kutyla, Bachelor of Arts in psychology.

BELMONT UNIVERSITY

These local students were named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.

FROM BROOKLINE: Julia Sherwood.

FROM HOLLIS: Riley Bauer.

FROM HUDSON: Lauren Weber.

FROM NASHUA: Shannah Boucher.

BOWDOIN COLLEGE

Emily Martin, of Litchfield, graduated this spring from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a major in psychology and a minor in gender and women’s studies.

BRYANT UNIVERSITY

Lauren Elizabeth Manfredi, of Nashua, received the Excellence in Applied Psychology award at Bryant University’s 152nd Commencement on May 16 in Smithfield, R.I. This award is presented to a graduating senior for outstanding achievement in the study of applied psychology. Manfredi received a Bachelor of Science in biology, magna cum laude.

These local students graduated this spring from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.

FROM HUDSON: Brooke Prochniak, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting.

FROM MERRIMACK: Emily Spencer, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance, cum laude.

FROM NASHUA: Lauren Manfredi, Bachelor of Science in biology, magna cum laude.

BUCKNELL UNIVERSITY

Emerson Davis, of Nashua, son of Sherman and Jesse Davis and a graduate of Taft School, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics this spring from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.

Ian Will, of Mont Vernon, son of Eric and Suzanne Will and a graduate of Derryfield School, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and environmental studies this spring from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.

These local undergraduate students from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., are now members of honor societies at the college.

FROM AMHERST: Morgan Pagliocco is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

CHAMPLAIN COLLEGE

Zachary Fraser, of Nashua, graduated this spring from Champlain College in Burlington, Vt.

Cherry Gagne, of Nashua, received a master’s degree this spring from Champlain College in Burlington,Vt.

David Jordan, of Hollis, was named to the Trustee’s List and the President’s List for the spring 2015 semester at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. He is majoring in computer science and innovation.

These local students graduated this spring from Clemson (S.C.) University.

COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY

Michelle Lajoie, of Nashua, graduated this spring with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in management from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.

FROM MERRIMACK: Shannon Avery, Bachelor of Arts in biology; Christine Annable, Bachelor of Science in child development.

FROM MILFORD: Kyle Nelson, Bachelor of Science in business administration; Rachel Krieger, Bachelor of Science in public health.

FROM NASHUA: Justine Kuzmich, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude; Sheila Cavanaugh, Bachelor of Arts in sociology; Courtney Prince, Bachelor of Science in business administration; Megan McDermott, Bachelor of Science in child development; Brian Anderson, Bachelor of Science in sport management; Charles Keeler, Bachelof of Science in sport management.

Victoria Whitten, Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude. Whitten was also recognized at the annual Scholars and Leaders Ceremony with the Richard Crosby Memorial Award (for her knowledge and appreciation of British literature) and for her membership in the Wesson Honors Program.

CONNECTICUT COLLEGE

Ethan Stewart Underhill, from Merrimack, graduated this spring from Connecticut College in New London, Ct., and received a Bachelor of Arts in government and religious studies.

ELON UNIVERSITY

Stefanos Taliadoros, of Lyndeborough, a student at Elon (N.C.) University, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY

Samuel Foisie of, Lyndeborough, recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla., with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.

FORT LEWIS COLLEGE

Matthew Leach, of Milford, was named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. Leach graduated this spring with a major in business administration.

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY

Sara Jones, from Wilton, a student at Iowa State University majoring in Insect Science, was a participant of Science with Practice. Science with Practice is a learning and work experience program in research and related laboratories for undergraduate students. Students are able to conduct research and form mentoring relationships with faculty while earning money and academic credit. Jones was advised by Dr. Gregory Courtney, professor, on a project titled The Iowa State Insect Collection. This project was to start digitizing the Iowa State Insect Collection. The reason for this project is to make the specimens in the collection easier to view across the country. It allows anyone wanting to study an insect an easier look into the collection so they can make selection of the insects they would like to use for their study.

JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY

These local students were named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.

FROM BROOKLINE: Melissa Lavey, a senior majoring in political science.

MOUNT IDA COLLEGE

Matthew Everitt, of Merrimack, graduated cum laude from Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass., with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
