St. Christopher School in Nashua donates to Humane Society

By Staff | Jun 18, 2015

NASHUA – Thanks to the efforts of its littlest students, St. Christopher School recently donated $200 in lemonade stand proceeds to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.

Brianna Knapp’s prekindergarten students sold lemonade to older students of the school, as well as to a number of parents who stopped in for a bit of refreshment. Originally planned as an outdoor activity, a rainy day forced the students to set up the stand in the lobby instead.

“I’m so proud of our students,” Knapp said. “They were actively involved in all aspects of organizing this project, from choosing the Humane Society to creating marketing posters and video, and then actually receiving money, making change and serving the lemonade.”

Students manned the lemonade stand in shifts, with teacher and parent helpers in the lobby and in the classroom.

“Service to others was definitely the theme of the day, thanks to both our students and helpers,” Knapp said. “And we had a great time.”
