Keene State College recently presented awards to 62 students. Among the honorees were these local students:

FROM LITCHFIELD: John Elliott received the Chemistry Faculty Award. The award is given to an outstanding senior majoring in chemistry, industrial chemistry or the chemistry-related dual major programs who contributes the most to the continuing development of the chemistry program.

FROM MERRIMACK: Madison Smith received the Honors in Psychology Award, which recognizes psychology students who have completed a yearlong empirical research project, presented an oral and a written report on their findings, and passed a comprehensive examination. The students have met these requirements and will graduate with psychology honors.

FROM NASHUA: Nicolas Tocci received the Carroll Lehman Award for Excellence in Vocal Music. The award provides recognition to a student for excellence in vocal music study.

Sarah Laramie received the Excellence in Communication Award, which recognizes a graduating communication major who has demonstrated excellence and scholastic achievement in communication.

FROM WILTON: Taylor Jorgensen received the Theatre and Dance Award for Excellence in Theatre Arts (acting).
