Nashua elementary students visit dairy farm
NASHUA – Fuel Up to Play 60 recently held a dairy farm tour for students from Dr. Norman W. Crisp Elementary School.
The tour was hosted by Charlie Tully, owner of Tully Farm in Dunstable, Mass.
The purpose of the tour was to connect students with where their food comes from and to give them a look behind the scenes of a dairy farm. The students asked thoughtful questions, got to pet a lot of friendly cows and had a great time overall.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is the nation’s largest in-school wellness program. The program was created by the National Dairy Council and the National Football League, and is supported locally by the dairy farm families of New England, the New England Dairy & Food Council and the New England Patriots.
