NASHUA – Fairgrounds Elementary School art teacher Meghan Durden was recently presented with a clock for her desk after being introduced as the Nashua Lions Club Teacher of the Year at its meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Club President Louise Deschenes presented her gift.

Durden, a member of the Nashua School District the last seven years, was nominated by her former teacher and now colleague Robin Perringer, as well as former students and current staff members.

Durden was selected by an independent panel from 18 nominations.
