Hollis Brookline High raises funds for Unified sports

By Staff | May 21, 2015

HOLLIS – The Hollis Brookline High School Life Of A Cavalier Club is designating its annual schoolwide walk on Thursday, May 21, to the national campaign “Spread the Word to End the R Word.”

The “R word” is “retard.” The theme was selected by the student.

Hollis Brookline High is involved with the Unified sports program, which brings athletes with and without intellectual disabilities together to play sports, gain physical fitness, develop friendships, and demonstrate appreciation and respect for each other on and off the playing field.

The walk will be a fundraiser so that funding will be available for any athlete who is interested and eligible to compete in the Unified sports program.

To make a donation, send a check to HBHS Walk, 24 Cavalier Court, Hollis, NH 03049.
