NASHUA

NHS CLASS OF ’74 MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Applications for the Nashua High School Class of ’74 Memorial Scholarship are available at both Nashua public high schools through guidance offices. All applicants must be a Nashua high school senior enrolling full time in a two- or four-year accredited college in the U.S. no later than fall 2015. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.5 and have been a citizen of the U.S. for at least one year to apply. Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by May 6.

AMHERST

AMHERST GARDEN CLUB

The Amherst Garden Club is offering $4,000 in scholarships to Amherst or Mont Vernon residents who will be attending an institute of higher learning to study horticulture, botany, plant science, landscape design or environmental science as it relates to horticulture. Applications are available from student services or guidance offices at Souhegan High School. The deadline for Souhegan High students is April 1. The deadline for all other applicants has passed.

BROOKLINE

BROOKLINE WOMEN’S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The Brookline Women’s Club offers a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior in a public or private school or a home-schooled student who resides in Brookline and plans to attend college or in 2015. The club will award the scholarship to the senior who best embodies its motto, “Friendship through Community Service,” and demonstrates a sense of community spirit, leadership, friendship and a commitment to volunteerism. Applications are available in the guidance office or from the scholarship chairman, Susan Santoski, at mftmcg@charter.net (write “BWC Scholarship” in the subject line). Applications from Hollis Brookline High School students will be accepted in the guidance office until 3 p.m. April 22. Other students can make arrangements to give the application to Santoski by emailing her.

HOLLIS

HOLLIS WOMAN’S CLUB ALTERNATIVE SCHOLARSHIP

The $1,000 Hollis Woman’s Club Alternative Scholarship is open to one woman who is working toward completing a program or degree that will help her learn a new skill, or return to or advance in a job. COLONIAL GARDEN CLUB OF HOLLIS

The Colonial Garden Club of Hollis awards an annual scholarship of $1,000 to a high school senior from Hollis or Brookline. The student must be accepted to a college or vocational program with plans to study horticulture, botany, landscape design, etc. The application form is available at the guidance office at Hollis Brookline High School. Deadline: April 13.

MERRIMACK

MERRIMACK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP

Applications are available for the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce scholarship. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors based on academic achievement, extracurricular activity and community service. Special consideration is given to students with an entrepreneurial spirit. Applicants must be employed by or be the dependent of an employee of a member of the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce. Written applications are available at merrimackchamber.org. Deadline: April 10. Finalists will be contacted by phone and/or email the week of April 19, and invited to interview with a judging panel during the week of May 3.

REGIONAL

CAVE LIGHT SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGH SCHOOL FILMMAKERS

New Hampshire filmmakers in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to submit their best short film to the Cave Light Scholarship Fund by April 1. The winner will receive $1,000 and have their film featured during the third annual Monadnock International Film Festival held April 16-18 in Keene, as well as on the festival’s website and social media pages. Open to students attending high school in New Hampshire. The prize will be awarded to a director, writer or producer. Film must be less than 5:01 minutes. Any theme or topic is acceptable. Work will be judged based on quality of story, overall production, use of lighting and audio, editing techniques, composition of shot, directing skills and performances. Email your submission in a secure, private YouTube or Vimeo link to monadnockiff@gmail.com with subject line stating CLS Submission, and include film title and year completed. NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Applications are being accepted for the NECU Scholarship Program. Applications can be downloaded at necu.org/scholarships. NECU will award $27,000 through 23 scholarships. The applicant must be a high school student who will be attending a two- or four-year accredited college or technical school next year, in the top 50 percent of his or her class and be an NECU member in good standing for at least one year prior to the date of application. Deadline: April 20.

FISHER CATS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation will award 12 scholarships to outstanding scholar-athletes from New Hampshire and Massachusetts who demonstrate academic excellence, significant athletic achievement and active civic involvement. Each award is $2,500 and includes recognition at a Fisher Cats game during the 2015 season.
