Keelin Arseneault, a biology major from Hollis, was named to the fall 2014 semester dean’s list at Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass.

KEENE STATE COLLEGE

Samantha Smith, of Merrimack, a sophomore student-athlete at Keene State College majoring in communication, was named to the Little East Conference Fall Academic All-Conference Team. To be named a Fall All-Academic awardee, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the 2014 spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The student-athlete must also be a full-time member of a varsity sport and be enrolled in its institution for a full academic year.

NAZARETH COLLEGE

Nicole Kabel, a junior nursing major from Hollis, was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y.

PENSACOLA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

Kelly Anne Schwanke, of Wilton, was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Pensacola (Fla.) Christian College.

Springfield College School of Human Services – Manchester has named Susan Ball of Merrimack to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2014 term.

McHale Perkins, of Hollis, was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he is majoring in psychology.

Felicia L. Anfuso of Milford completed her baccalaureate studies in English, summa cum laude in December 2014 at the State University of New York at Oswego and was recognized at the college’s Commencement. She was also named to the fall 2014 president’s list.

Daria Blackman, of Litchfield, was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.

WIDENER UNIVERSITY

Marc LaVine, of Nashua, a junior finance major at Widener University in Chester, Pa., recently spent the winter break studying in Spain. LaVine traveled to Spain through a Widener School of Business Administration honors course led by Dr. Mary Shoemaker, associate professor.

LaVine was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester.

WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE

These local students recently completed an intense, hands-on research project as part of Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute’s requirement to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue.

Jacob Mercier of Litchfield, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, completed his project in South Africa, titled “Empowerment Through Improving Facilities in Sizakuyenza.”

Benjamin Rogers of Merrimack, a junior majoring in electrical and computer engineering, completed his project in Nantucket, Mass. titled “Redeveloping the Airport Website.”

Matthew Lesonsky of Merrimack, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering completed his project in Washington, D.C. titled “Assessing Concussion Potential in Youth Sports for the CPSC.”

Kathleen Correia of Merrimack, a junior majoring in biomedical engineering completed her project in Australia. The project was titled “Solution to Decrease Food Insecurity in Fawkner, Austraila.”
